Grandsaytell me again

for the stories you'll want to hear again

Their voice. Their stories. A book you'll keep forever.

Give your mom, dad or grandparents a weekly phone call with a patient, curious interviewer. They just talk, in English or Spanish. We turn every story into a hardcover book, with QR codes that play their voice telling it.

The gift arrives as a card on Christmas morning. First call in January. Full refund any time before the first call.

How a phone call becomes a book on your shelf

Most families finish in three to six months. You decide when the book is ready.

  1. 1

    You choose the questions

Pick from hundreds, or write your own. "How did you meet Dad?" "What was your first job?"

  2. 2

They get a call each week

At the day and time they choose. No app, no passwords. A landline works. They just pick up and talk.

  3. 3

    Each call becomes a chapter

Written in their own words. The whole family can read along, fix a date, and add old photos.

  4. 4

A hardcover arrives at your door

Printed and shipped about two weeks after you press "print." Order extra copies for every sibling.

She told it in Spanish. Her grandkids read it in English.

The book can be printed in one language or both, side by side. Every chapter keeps a link to the original recording, so nothing is lost in translation.

THE CALL · SUNDAY, 10:00 AM

THE BOOK · CHAPTER 3
The kitchen on Calle Hidalgo

Our kitchen was tiny. My mother ground the corn before the sun came up, and I would sit on a little stool and watch her. What I remember most is the smell of café de olla, with cinnamon. I can still smell it.

Scan to hear Carmen tell it, in her own voice.

Made for parents who would never download an app

Writing prompts and recording apps work for some people. Most of our parents would rather just talk on the phone, so that's the whole experience.

  • Any phone, including a landline. The interviewer says at the start that the call is recorded for the family book.
  • They choose the day and time, and can skip a week, pause, or ask for a different question.
  • Patient follow-up questions, the way a curious grandchild would ask: "What happened next?"
  • English or Spanish on the call, and the book in either language, or both.

A gift they open on Christmas and keep for generations

You'll get a printable card and an email we deliver on Christmas morning, so it works as a last-minute gift too. Order until December 24.

Questions families ask

Is the interviewer a real person?

No. It's an AI interviewer, and it says so at the start of every call. It's patient, never rushes, and asks follow-up questions about what your parent just said. The stories, and the words in the book, are always theirs.

What if something happens before the book is finished?

You can print the book at any point with the chapters you have, and family members can add their own memories to complete it. We'll help you put it together, with no deadline.

How long are the recordings kept?

The QR codes in the book stay online, and you can download every recording at any time, so a copy always lives with your family, not only with us.

Where can you call?

The United States, Canada, Mexico and Spain. Your parent can live in a different country from you.

Who can read the stories?

Only the family members you invite. Recordings are never used to train AI models or shared with anyone else.

When will the book arrive?

About two weeks after you press "print." Most families print after three to six months of calls.
